Truck Monsters
So the lovely people at Truck Festival asked Lazy Soosan to make them some monsters based on their little monster logo to sell at the festival this weekend. If you're lucky enough to be heading on down to Hill Farm in Steventon be sure to bag yourself one of the handmade limited edition little blighters!
Each monster has a screen printed patch displaying the Truck logo on their bottoms, and a festival lanyard with a little bit of information about their dispositions.
We ended up slaving over them for quite some time and naturally became rather attached. We were very sad to see them go, so please, go buy, and make sure that you give your Truck monster a good home!

A little bit about the Gallery it self by themselves:
"Young Blood Gallery and Boutique is the foremost independent showcase in Atlanta for emerging artists and Do-It-Yourself crafters. Young Blood was born in 1997 in the home of Maggie White and Kelly Teasley when the two grew tired of the Atlanta art gallery establishment’s refusal to exhibit incredibly talented – though unknown – local artists............With art openings the first Saturday of each month, and Kraftwork, a crafts market featuring handmade merchandise crafted by rising designers and artists on the first Thursday of each month, Young Blood gives Atlantans the chance to find creations that can be found no where else."

The London Zine Symposium 2009!
Last weekend Laura and I went down to the London Zine Symposium in London town. It was at the Rag Factory just off Brick Lane. It was such a great turn out all day long. We had a little table to sell all our goods. We even had home made alphabet biccies! It didn't get much better than that. We couldnt believe it was so busy.... it was a steady stream of people for the whole 6 hours we were there! We had the honor of sitting next to Fever Zine, which was very exciting as we have seen them there the last couple of symposiums we have been to.
Thank you so much to everybody that came down, and it was so lovely to meet all you other zine makers. Looking forward to next years!

Between the covers
Between the Covers is an exhibition about women's magazines and their readers, currently showing at The Women's Library in Aldgate.
At the back end of last year, we recieved an email from Melanie Maddison, (editor of the Leeds-based 'zine Colouring Outside the Lines) asking if we could provide some Lazy Soosan work to be a part of 'Zine Fest' - a series of zine related activities and seminars supporting the exhibition. So on Saturday, we toddled along to the exhibition to see Soosan, and all the other lovely zines in action.
To read more about zine fest take a peek here and to read reviews of the comic exhibition, pop along here, here and here.
back soon x.
